1. About us
Private Experience Croatia (hereafter, "we", "us", or "the Operator") is a family-owned travel service providing private tours and private transfers across Croatia and neighbouring destinations.
By submitting a booking request or completing a payment on private-experience-croatia.com you accept these Terms of use.
2. Booking and confirmation
Bookings are created through the website form, by email, or by phone. A booking is treated as a request until we confirm availability in writing.
Once confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with the booking details, pickup address, vehicle type, and total price.
Prices are quoted in EUR per vehicle and include VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices do not include national park tickets, ferry tickets, meals, guides or other extras unless listed in the included items of the selected tour.
3. Payment
You may pay either the full amount in advance or a 15% deposit. The remaining balance is paid in cash or by card to the driver on the day of the service.
Online payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card data on our servers.
If a deposit payment fails or is reversed before the day of the service, the booking is considered cancelled and the time slot may be released.
4. Pickup and drop-off
Door-to-door pickup is provided whenever local road access allows. If the driver cannot reach the exact address (pedestrian zones, narrow streets, restricted areas) we will agree on the closest accessible pickup point in advance.
Please be ready at the agreed pickup time. The driver will wait up to 15 minutes after the agreed time. For airport pickups, free waiting time is 60 minutes after the actual landing time.
5. Luggage and child seats
Standard luggage allowance is one main piece and one piece of hand luggage per passenger. Oversized luggage (bicycles, surf boards, wheelchairs) must be declared at booking.
Child seats and booster seats are available on request at no extra cost. Please include the child age when booking.
6. Liability and insurance
All passengers are insured during private tours and transfers operated by Private Experience Croatia in line with Croatian law.
We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, accidents, strikes, border delays, or national park closures.
We are not responsible for items lost or forgotten in the vehicle. Found items can be returned at the passenger's cost.
7. Behaviour during the service
Smoking, vaping, and consumption of alcohol are not allowed in the vehicle. Drivers may end the service without refund if passengers are intoxicated, abusive, or place the safety of the vehicle at risk.
8. Changes by the operator
We may need to swap the assigned driver or vehicle for an equivalent one due to unexpected circumstances. The agreed capacity and comfort level will always be maintained.
If a tour stop is closed or unreachable on the day of the service, we will offer the closest reasonable alternative on the same route.
9. Cancellation policy

10. Data protection
Personal data (name, email, phone, pickup address) is processed only for the purpose of operating your booking and complying with Croatian tax law. Data is not sold or shared with third parties outside of the strictly necessary processors (Stripe for payments, Resend for booking emails, Supabase for hosting the booking database).
You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by writing to info@private-experience-croatia.com.
11. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent court in Split, Croatia.
